What I Should Have Said©

Have you ever thought of the perfect thing to say, but it was on the drive home?  Do you have great ideas, but have trouble communicating them?  Quick and creative thinking is crucial to every facet of every job, whether you are dealing with a client or customer, a co-worker, an employee, or as being part of a team.  Stevie Ray is an expert at helping people think on their feet and handle tough on-the-spot challenges. In a fun and hands-on workshop, you will learn techniques that can be used every day to improve your communication skills, teambuilding, conflict management, and effective presentation.  Rather than sit and watch another PowerPoint presentation, Stevie Ray will have you on your feet learning real-world skills.

The ideal learner
Anyone who must communicate with clients and co-workers, handle on-the-spot challenges, conduct meetings, or deliver presentations.

12:30 – 1:30 p.m.           GBTA Ladders Program; Team Barbara Rose

                                         Sponsored by:

The GBTA Ladders Program represents a select group of 120 of the travel industry’s most talented and driven professionals. This one of a kind mentor program offers unparalleled talent development (team work, presentation development, and public speaking), educational opportunities (ability to work with members of different industry verticals), exposure (networking with mentors & mentees) and experiences (exclusive access to various events throughout the year) to its members.

In many ways, each one of us is in sales and service. Travel managers have to sell their programs to travelers and provide service to them. TMCs have to provide solutions and services to help travel managers do this. But, where is this heading? How do you sell more effectively? How does a buyer become a seller? How can you become an influencer in your organization and sell to your management and your customers (internal or external)? In the 2017-18 season, GBTA Ladders tackled these questions and came up with different ideas to solve for this next evolution in travel management.

Join us in recognizing Team Barbara Rose, this year’s winners of the presentation challenge while we welcome Caitlin Gomez; Co-founder/Creator and Chairman of GBTA Ladders.
