Founded in 1987, GBTA North Central Chapter provides an important forum for the exchange of information, education and ideas among its members, who include representatives from local corporations and leading travel industry suppliers. Our emphasis is on working together to better understand new and emerging travel management practices.

The GBTA North Central Chapter is committed to enhancing the travel profession by sponsoring educational and informational programs for its members, and by providing top-rated speakers to address travel-related issues, concerns and current "hot topic" items.

Global Business Travel Association    

The GBTA North Central Chapter is a chapter affiliation of the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA), whose members represent major corporations and travel suppliers throughout the United States. Along with GBTA North Central Chapter, the national organization provides members with information on the latest technical and service advantages within the industry, as well as current legislative issues involving travel costs and safety matters affecting business travel.

GBTA has published a flyer with the Rules of the Road for optimizing business travel. The Rules of the Road consists of eight guiding principles including safety and security, taxes, competition, fee clarity, communication, innovation, traveler experience and quality and connectivity. Together these principles will help to make the global travel systems safer, more secure, more reliable and a better place to conduct and facilitate business.
