Scholarship Opportunities

GBTA North Central Chapter Scholarships  Each year GBTA North Central Chapter scholarships are awarded to members based on merit and involvement in the industry and the chapter. Scholarship applications are sent via email to members in March, and awarded at Education Summit in May.

For 2019, two types of Scholarships will be awarded:  (restrictions apply)

Standard Scholarship – Multiple Scholarships in a designated amount (as requested by the applicant, up to $1,000 each) will be awarded, to be used towards educational opportunities to help advance their role in travel. Funds can be used towards reimbursement of items such as local membership dues, ongoing education, GBTA Convention, Education Day registration, GBTA Educational programs. Scholarships may not be used towards competitor (i.,e., ACTE) educational events.

Legislative Symposium Scholarship – A single Scholarship in the amount of up to $1,500 will be awarded, for use used toward the expense attending GTBA’s 2019 Legislative Symposium in Washington, D.C.  Funds can be used towards reimbursement of items such as of Registration, Air, Hotel, Transfers, and Incidentals during the designated Legislative Symposium.

GBTA Foundation Scholarships An affiliate of GBTA, the GBTA Foundation, offers several educational scholarship opportunitiesto a variety of programs, including those listed above and independent studies.

Chapter Presidents Council Scholarships The GBTA Chapter President's Council (CPC) Scholarship Grants are awarded to qualified individuals to pursue involvement in the education programs or membership within the Global Business Travel Association.  The GBTA Chapter Presidents’ Council (CPC) Scholarship Program serves to:

  • Help travel management professionals pursue education opportunities that enhance their expertise

  • Encourage local chapter members to become members of GBTA and/or to attend GBTA-sponsored conferences, conventions and seminars held nationally or locally

  • Support chapter programs that accomplish these same goals

The CPC Scholarship Program is funded entirely by the CPC. The CPC will be awarding scholarships for participation in any of the following programs:

  • GBTA Legislative Symposium

  • GBTA Convention

  • GBTA Workshop

  • Chapter Education Day

  • GBTA Academy Travel Management or Leadership Programs (at any level)

  • Continuing Education Unit (Application Fee)
